Laiz de A B Rodrigues
Laiz de Albuquerque Bezerra Rodrigues is a visionary entrepreneur, community leader, and advocate for cultural and economic ties between Brazil and the United States. Born in Brazil, Laiz pursued legal studies at PUC-RJ, one of Brazil’s top universities, before becoming an American citizen. Her passion for fostering cross-cultural connections and empowering communities has defined her impactful career in Central Florida.
In 2012, Laiz founded Hotspotorlando, a digital magazine that celebrates Orlando’s vibrant culture, businesses, and multicultural stories, creating a platform that bridges Brazilian and American communities. From 2015 to 2017, she served as President of the Central Florida Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce, where she championed initiatives to strengthen trade and cultural exchange between Brazil and Florida. In 2017, Laiz founded the Brazil America Council, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to promoting business, arts, and community engagement between the two nations, solidifying her role as a connector of cultures.
As Executive Director of the Central Florida International Chamber of Commerce (CFICC), Laiz drives the organization’s mission of uniting businesses from diverse nations, fostering global networking, and supporting economic growth in Central Florida. Her commitment to community service is further evidenced by her volunteer work with United Arts Orlando in 2016, where she supported local arts initiatives.
Laiz’s leadership is marked by her inclusive approach, global perspective, and dedication to creating opportunities for collaboration. Through her work, she continues to inspire and uplift the Brazilian-American community, leaving a lasting legacy in Orlando and beyond.
